Kimball Farms

I went with a couple girls on a 26 mile bike ride....and then we got ice cream. We figured we deserved it, right? Well the ice cream is AMAZING! It is a place called kimball farms and totally worth all 26 miles. I got a HUGE cup and finished it all, i won't be making that habit. But, seriously the ice cream is locally made and SOOO good! And the bike trail is also pretty sweet. We get to look at big huge houses along the way with big yards and trees. Jealous.

Walden Pond

Today I went to Walden pond with a bunch of people in the ward. We had a sunday afternoon picnic. It was fantastic but i was so tempted to jump in the water because it was warm water, being from colorado I am not used to ward lake water. We are going to go back the week for a dip.

Mom and Dad in town!!!!

Sorry I have been a little blog lazy. Now that I have a full time job and it is not a receptionist I don't sit around all day on the internet. I actually have to work and get things done, i know crazy, right?

Well my parents came in town last week and we had such a fantastic time. We went to the vineyard again. We spent all day on the beach saturday and it was BEAUTIFUL, no clouds just sunshine. We also had a "jack and jill" baby shower for Lisa. I am so excited for that little girl to come!!! I don't have a lot of pictures of these festivities but I will post as many as I have.

The picture is us in Harvard Yard touching Mr. Harvard's foot. Apparently it is good luck to touch his foot but even better if you pee on it....
Sorry the picture quality is lacking.

Memorial Day on the Vineyard

Many of you know that Brent and Lisa live on the Vineyard, and we spent memorial day weekend on the vineyard and it was fantastic. Thanks to Brent and Lisa for entertaining us and cooking. Lisa has a fantastic enchilada receipe, it was wonderful! I can't wait to go back next weekend with the parents!!!

Me and Lisa took a bike ride on the cruiser bike. Notice her cute basket, that was her bday present from brent!

Lisa's bike is name Rosie. I need one.

Henry loved the sand!!!!

Brent decided to take henry by cooler. He was a little reluctant.

Memorial Day celebration!!!

He had talent.

Everyone is always stopping Henry from going in water, poor Henry.

Henry liked the texture of Brent's hair. This hike was really cool. We went to the highest point on the island and looked out over the water, and it was beautiful and then down to the lowest and played on the beach a little.

I love bike riding. I get all over the city on my bike. Everywhere I get I am a little sweaty but so is everyone else because of the humidity so i'm over it :)

FULL TIME!!!!

I would just like to publicly announce that I am employed full time at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, and like you'll probably thinking I am the new surgeon on the vascular team.
Okay, maybe that's just my dream job. My real job is in some office where I get my own cubical and am helping audit their files, but at least it is at a hospital! I think it will be great because the hours are very flexible I just have to work 40 hours a week. It feels good!

I would like to attribute this success to my father who gave me cheesy interview lines. I am not very good at interviewing because I think it is so stupid to say cheesy made up stuff. Well my all knowing father talked some sense into me and told me interviewing is a game and I have to play the game to win. He helped me out by telling me exactly what to say and while I felt like such a cheese ball I said it during the interview and apparently they loved me so I guess my Dad wins yet again.

Ask him to tell you his cheesy lines about my greatest strengths and weaknesses, they're fantastic.

Get excited for more coming posts about last weekend on the vineyard and going to the Red Sox game!!!!!

Freedom Trail

I am trying to make sure I hit all the major spots and I actually do really enjoy seeing all the history sites (Erika are you proud?) I did some freedom trail this week on my day off. It was extremely hot and sweaty but I still enjoyed it. Forgive my hair in the picture, I did not have time to do anything with it + humidity = bad hair day. But, this is me chatting with the freedom trail actors. They act in character and it is entertaining. Me and Henry were alone on the adventure, I was babysitting for Mel. So I made sure he had a hat and sunglasses and I kept him well hydrated, he never cried! I'm such a great aunt :)

Temp Job

So today my job is at Mitsubishi Electric Research Laboratories. Yeah and everyone is Japanese (Jess you would love it) So my list of phone extensions has a lot of really weird names, I was a little worried with this because I have a hard time understanding people with accents and now I would have to try and understand all these very foreign names. For example, Vijay Shilpiekandula, now how would you pronounce that???? Well my worries soon went away when 9 and then 10 and ten 11 past and the phone never rang. Yes it is now 3:14 and I have answered and transfered one call. Much to my surprise the caller spelled out the name of the person he wanted to reach, he obviously did not know how to pronouce their name either. So what do I do for eight hours sitting at a desk and the computer???? Well, I have been looking for suggestions, but so far it consists of a lot of online shopping or wishing I should say because I have no money, studying for some online classes, listing and relisting my apartment on craigs list, KSL and the BYU off campus housing website, catching up on the news, and celebrity gosspip, o and I can't forget facebook, I found some old neighbors. Anybody remember the kings who lived on the corner? Well they are all on facebook, seem to be doing well, the girl in the fam got married last year, looked like a festive wedding. Back to the point, I am looking for suggestions of website or other fun things to do. Remember I have the full internet and lots of time on my hands...I am thinking Chelsea would have some excellent suggestions of websites she regularly follows...so give me a list. I also thought maybe I could take surveys and get paid to take them so then I would be making even more money by the hour.....
And answer to some questions my temp jobs have mostly been one day jobs I am hoping to get a long term job just so I know I have a job everyday and a pay check everyweek. But I have been working pretty consistently everday so I have nothing to complain about. Sometimes they call you the day before for your assignment and sometimes they call you the day of. I just take the address put it in my phone and I am on my way! It is nice to have a different job everyday, keeps it interesting. Today I was privilaged enough to receive a name tag, see picture!
All my love....

Henry's Cake

I decorated a small cake for Henry on Sunday. It was last minute so it is nothing glamorous but I think it turned out cute. I only have 3 pictures but I'll get some more of Mel's camera of the cake before Henry destroyed it. He made a good mess, but I think he enjoyed the cake. He was a little confused at first and a little upset when everyone was staring at him and singing to him but after he tasted the sugar he got over it. It was a fun evening!
p.s. my cake skills were rusty but it made me want to start decorating cakes again, it is fun!!!

So far in Boston.....

Boston is a very cool city, I am really enjoying myself. I know you all miss me very much, so I thought I would keep you all updated on my totally glam lifestyle through a blog.

I must say I owe all my success in Boston thus far to my droid incredible, this thing is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G.....it gets me every where I need to go and reminds me of what I need to do, and it talks to me. What would I do with out it.

I get around by bike and public transportation. Don't worry, Mom, I am wearing my helmet and lots of reflectors. I enjoy public transportation a lot for some reason. It is a fun way of getting around the city, and very quick I might add.

Me and Henry have been hanging out a lot and I think we have become buddies. He still likes his mom more, but at least I am the favorite aunt :)

Well it is time to sign of for now, I love You all dearly!

Temp Jobs

So sometimes you get hooked up with some pretty sweet temp jobs like today. I am on the 56th floor and can see the whole city. This is the view from my desk, if I were to get up and walk to the left side of the picture you can see all of down town. The office is beautiful, and there is a lot of food lying around for me, LOVE IT!!!!!!
